India Gateway Program (IGP)
India Experience for Foreign Students
(Short stay - 2 weeks approximately)

India is the fastest growing free market economy in the world. India is the fourth largest economy and is predicted to become the third largest by 2020. Inbound tourism is growing at the rate of more than 30 percent every year with more than 5 million people visiting India in 2007. ‘Doing business in India’ has become a highly sought after course for international students in top rated business schools around the globe. India Gateway Program is a program that gives a crash ‘India experience’ to interested visitors. The experience will include a combination of historical site visits, contact classes about Indian economy and culture, visit to industries, dance and cultural programs, panel discussions and many more. The program is conducted by Office of International Affairs (OIAS), Christ University, Bangalore.

- Visit to call centers
- Visit to prominent industries
- Bangalore site seeing tours
- Visit to temples and gurudwaras
- Contact classes on Indian culture, tradition, society, economy, politics & journalism
- Cultural programmes - Indian dances, music and theatre
- Panel discussion can be arranged on topics like: India - Emerging Economy, Globalization and Outsourcing
- Other activities as requested by the visitors
- Christ University can provide accommodation for up to 50 people on campus guesthouses
- Pickup and drop from the airport can be provided
- Local transportation assistance provided
- Arrival orientation provided
- Christ University can arrange breakfast, lunch and dinner on campus
Visitors can form a customized itinerary based on the above items. Visitors must be accompanied and led by faculty member/s. Participants must have a prerequisite working knowledge of English. Participants must have travel, medical and accidental insurance. Cost of trip will vary depending upon the choice of above items.
